The role of Cooperative Housing Societies to provide residential facilities with fully developed infrastructure to its members without seeking any financial support from the Government is commendable contribution of the Cooperatives Department.

Punjab is a role model for all the other provinces of the country and performing a leading role in cooperative sector with successful achievements.  The affairs of the cooperative societies are regulated under CSA, 1925 and CSR, 1927.
